Review of AccuWeather App From Intel

While searching for more apps on the Intel App Center (I have already reviewed the excellent CrikInfo App), I came across the AccuWeather App by AccuWeather, Inc.!!

The Accuweather App truly mesmerized me with its bright and beautiful display screen! Because I am constantly on the move, the CrikInfo App appealed to me, and for the very same reason this App too attracted me on first glance!

The AccuWeather App by Intel gives you the detailed weather information for upto 15 days, hourly weather details, AccuWeather’s exclusive lifestyle forecasts, Radar and weather videos!! Its a power packed App for sure!! Now no more pondering in the office what the weather will be like when going to the market, no issues with planning a vacation either. You can select any city and see the weather forecast for that place...

Why I recommend it to you!!!

  • Gives accurate ( I checked it for a couple of days) 15 day weather forecast.
  • Gives hour-by-hour weather details helping you plan your day accordingly.
  • The Radar and Satellite Maps are fun to view.
  • Can be a very useful App for people suffering from various allergies as they can take necessary precautions depending on the weather forecasts for their area.
  • Its currently free and that is an absolute bonus!
So now no need for you to get stuck in horrid rain without an umbrella as soon as you leave your house or being burnt in 48 degree Celsius as this App will keep you posted about the latest weather conditions!!!

Also check out a host of other Apps on various categories like Education, Entertainment, Finance, Games, Lifestyle, Music and Audio, Photo and Video, Productivity, Reference, Social, Sports, Travel and Utilities!!!

A Master Stroke by Intel AppUp - CrickInfo

As a self confessed cricket addict, I needed to keep a tab on the happenings in the cricket world each and every day of my life. But in this fast paced competitive corporate era that we live in, this was seldom possible for me. And even when I did manage to catch up with the matches, there were still so many of them (read county club cricket, domestic cricket, etc) that the sports channels refused to air live.

These problems introduced me to the site Cricinfo – A site that helped me stay connected to My Love – Cricket - 24*7. It was great as it helped me keep an eye on the scores plus also providing interesting statistical data and exclusive news coverage from all across the cricketing globe.

A few days back while checking the various apps released by the Intel AppUp store, I stumbled upon an app CrickInfo and thought of giving it a try.

CricKinfo - An App from Intel AppUp center for cricket freaks like me!

And let me tell you, if you are a cricket enthusiast and a Cricinfo site fan too then this app is just for you! A two tab layout, it gives you instant access to Live Scores and news  updates at the tip of your hands. It scores high on the neat organization and is very easy to maneuver. It is quite simple in layout but a wonderful app nevertheless!

My Verdict

In one line, it is a compact Cricinfo designed specifically for cricket fans! Now keeping track of the in-depth coverage of the game including ball-by-ball commentary, breaking news and statiscal data just got so much easier! And what’s more it’s free. All you need to do is visit the site – Intel AppUp Center – and get this app today!

Having chosen one app, I would also like to add that for the real cricketing fan, nothing is enough. And am sure there are many many more apps that need to be explored by me in the Intel AppUp center. But for now, let me cheer for Intel that has just bowled me over with their master stroke called CrickInfo!

The wait was finally over for millions of people like me who were waiting anxiously for the release of The Samsung Galaxy Tab 750 also known as Galaxy Tab 10.1 elsewhere in the world. The launch was streamed live here on my blog and it all went very well. A smaller version called Samsung Galaxy Tab 730 was also launched. While watching the video launch, the moment I saw this slim, little bundle of technology come out of its wraps, I instantly fell in love with it. The look itself excited me such... India Vs England - 3rd Test Match, Birmingham - 2011

The Indians are looking extremely hopeless and helpless in the current test series against England. They seem to have no inspiration and will power to excel and seem bored and drained and given up all hope of winning...

Te batting is painful, without any application and lacks any purpose whatsoever and they have failed to score 300 in any of the innings till now...
The bowling is radarless, without any penetration and seems to be lost in a forest without any knowledge of direction...
The fielding was never a strong point for the Indian team but they have dropped catches, and fielded poorer than school kids...
The captain has run out of ideas, is in woeful form both in front and behind the stumps...

It is painful to be an Indian supporter than at any time before!! They will do well not to lose 4-0...
Though I don't think that they can avoid the whitewash because the players are themselves looking demotivated and without the will to fight... How will they inspire any confidence in their fans???

India Vs England - 2nd Test Match, Trent Bridge Nottingham - 2011

So India lost the 2nd match too, convincingly!! This is not how teams which are ranked number 1 play... They are expected to put up a fight, exchange blows even when down and not give up until the end... The Aussies were rarely humiliated in the last decade or so, surely they were beaten sometimes but in a gracious manner, after a tough battle with the opposition... Rarely the opposition ran away with the game or rarely did they look hapless and helpless...

It was a shameful performance from the Indian team and I am really sad that they gave up so early and at so many stages of the game when they were on top!!! I hope that they pull up their socks for the remaining two games of the series and atleast show some teeth... We, Indian fans deserve atleast that much!!!

The number 1 rank and the crown of the best test team is all but gone too... For starters they must take the practice match seriously and if Sehwag and Gambhir and Zaheer are going to play the 3rd test then they must play in the practice match...

Hoping and Praying that whatever ails the team is soon sorted out and the team is back to winning some games!!
