India - Road to the Semi Final T20 World Cup 2022
India began by stealing a last ball win against arch rivals Pakistan at a jam packed MCG before cruising to victory over the Dutch in the second game.
South Africa prevailed over India at pacy Perth but India sealed their semi final fate with a victory over Bangladesh which was marred by rain and somewhat controversial due to fake fielding issues and starting the match on a wet outfield. South Africa losing to Netherlands on the last day meant the match against Zimbabwe was a dead rubber, one which India win easily in the end.

England - Road to the Semi Final T20 World Cup 2022
England started the tournament as one of the favorites but started with a scratchy win over the Afghanistan team at Perth before suffering a narrow loss to neighbours Ireland in a match decided by D/L method. When their third match against current champions Australia was washed out by heavy rains, semi final berth seemed far away.
But England won against New Zealand at Gabba with ease before making heavy weather of a small chase in their must win game against the Lankans at SCG but ultimately prevailed thus sealing their semi final spot and also knocking the hosts out with that win.
